The bed and pillows were good, the room was large and cosy. Stunningly beautiful view of the mountains, liked it. The best part were the very helpful staff. Location: the hotel was adjacent to the centre of the village, and the ski lift. Found L'optraken with perfect drinks 200 metres away...

We traveled as a group of friends on a four days ski trip and enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was superb and beautifully presented. The Spa was enjoyed by us all. Our room was on the corner and has two balconies!
Parking could be an issue at busy times and the general decor is a little tired.

In the restaurant we could only choose between 2 menus. Not tasty at all. The personnel knew only...French. Not even a word in other languages.

Le Grand Bornard as a resort is brilliant ,the managers of the hotel are helpful and courteous
The bed room is small (12 feet by 12 feet) which leaves very little space although we were told it was 18m I guess that includes the bath room and balcony! The décor is old and tired ,the room is very hot and on the main street traffic goes most of the night, you can hear next door using the facilities !.The menu is restricted with only two choices on the table d'hote ,which at 39 euros is extremely expensive. The pool is very small and frequented by children so a no go area for a relaxing swim ,the sauna wasn't working and the Jacuzzi was also small , health and safety would have a field day at this hotel. Best western or worst western ? time for a refurbish a very tired expensive hotel there are much better in the resort for 20% less and with less expensive meals .
